Meet Addie Kirby
Since I am definitely going to want to hear all about what makes you, you, I’ll go ahead and break the ice with a few things about me.
I have found that the root of my joy is in helping others. To put that into words, I’ll share with you my history, we’ll wait for cocktails or coffee for the unabridged version lol.
Fresh out of high school, I jumped into the role of caregiver at a senior living facility— it was there that my love for helping others was born. During graduate school, I was a financial aid assistant at a technical school in Mooresville. I moved right into eduation with my, MAT, and taught high school English for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools for over 5 years.
Some people ask why I’ve shifted into real estate. My answer is quite simple: I was meant for this career. I am lucky enough to fuse my passion and profession together as a Realtor®.
In 2020, I affiliated with an outstanding firm, 1st Choice Properties Inc. Day one, I hit the ground running; soaking up knowledge, studying the market, and staying on top of the latest and greatest technology and all-things marketing.
My mission is simple: to be client-centered in all that I do. My clients entrust me to guide them through one of the greatest financial decisions of their lives, and I show up for them by putting their needs first every step of the way.
Buying and selling real estate is a true partnership until the job is done. My clients get all of me as long as it takes. In fact, every client I work with becomes extended family.
Of course, I’ll take any opportunity #seizetheday to gab about my family. They are what make me whole.
I am an animal-lover from a small town outside of Statesville, NC. I love my grandma’s cooking and I am a momma’s girl for sure.
It wasn’t until I was 21 that I met my love, Kyle. We were both at UNC Charlotte for undergrad, though, we didn’t actually meet on campus. Our story began in 2011, at a tacky Christmas sweater party… of all places!
A few years later, we planned our wedding, i.e. I became addicted to Pinterest and the Facebook group, The Wedding Connection. We tied the knot on June 30th, 2018 in the most romantic little coastal town, Southport, NC.
We are obsessed with our furkids, Hans and Heidi. They were both adopted from Chapman's Dachshund Rescue out of York, SC (please don’t choose breeders!). You can catch the four of us on any given weekend, walking to local restaurants with dog-friendly seating with the pups.
When I’m not out selling homes, you can likely find me reading a good book, volunteering with the Alzheimer’s Association, Western Carolina Chapter, as a community educator, antiquing (oh yes, it’s a VERB lol!), and trying out new recipes on friends and family.
If you are new around here, let’s meet up! I’d love to treat you to one of my favorite places around town.
